eQTL analysis has been popular to find genetic etiology of psychiatric disorders. However, there is no integrated database which harbors linkage between eQTL gene and psychiatric disorders to show possible connections between them. In this research, we analyzed eQTL associations from the Stanley Medical Research Institute (SMRI) brain genomics data and integrated them with psychiatric disorder GWAS associations. As a result, we have calculated 316,319 eQTL associations from four tissues in gene and transcript level and developed an integrated database with gene-disorder network analysis results. With the database, users can get integrated information about enlisted entities with associations between them and get possible integrated insight towards genetic etiology of psychiatric disorders.
eQTL 분석은 정신 질환의 유전적 병인을 찾는 데 많이 이용되어 왔다. 그러나 eQTL 연관 관계를 가지는 유전자와 정신 질환 사이의 연관성을 보여주는 통합된 데이터베이스는 없다. 이번 연구에서는 스탠리 의학 연구소(SMRI)의 뇌 지노믹스 데이터를 사용해 eQTL 연관관계를 분석해 이를 정신질환 GWAS 연관관계와 통합했다. 우리는 4개 조직으로부터 유전자와 전사체 수준에서 31만6319개의 eQTL 연관관계를 계산해 냈고, 이를 이용해 eQTL 유전자와 정신질환 사이의 네트워크 분석 결과를 가진 통합된 데이터베이스를 개발하였다. 만들어진 데이터베이스를 사용해 사용자는 데이터베이스 안의 객체들에 대한 정보와 객체들 간의 관계정보를 찾아볼 수 있고, 네트워크 분석 결과를 통해 정신 질환의 유전적 병인에 대한 가능성을 찾을 수 있다.
