The purpose of this study is to develope the design method of highly-loaded cascade profile with minimum losses by using the Channel flow method.
To obtain minimum losses in turbine cascade with relatively thin turbulent boundary-layer, momentum thickness and total diffusion factor is introduced for the surface velocity distribution of turbine cascade.
A successive overrelaxation of nonlinear or linear potential equation and a Green's function for the potential flow are compared for the accuracy and execution time with a given linear logarithmic U distribution by using digital Computer.
The efficient turbine cascade can be designed by the Channel flow method without extensive trial and error for incompressible or compressible flow with local subsonic velocity distribution.
