Interacting with ones in close relationship such as significant others, parents, children, and friends is an integral part of our daily lives. However, in such interactions, we inevitably face conflicts. These may negatively impact on not only the relationships but also our entire life. We envision a mobile system for monitoring conflictual interactions in everyday life in close relationship. This system enables mobile interaction-aware applications to help people in close relationship resolve conflicts in a constructive way by providing in-situ guidelines. As an initial step toward this vision, we propose a computational model of conflictual interaction, based on the two-dimensional model of conflictual interaction from social-psychology studies, affect and engagement of conversation. Via this model, it is possible to infer affect and engagement of everyday conversations turn by turn by utilizing prosody and turn-taking features. The model describes affect and engagement of a turn in reasonable accuracy.
연인, 가족, 자식 그리고 친구들과 같이 나와 매우 가까운 사이에 있는 사람들과 인터랙션 하는 것은 우리 삶의 필수적인 부분이다. 하지만 이러한 인터랙션들을 하면서 우리는 종종 갈등을 맞닥 드리는것을 피할 수 없다. 이들은 우리의 관계 뿐만아니라 우리의 전체 삶에 부정적인 영향을 끼칠 수 있다. 우리는 가까운 사이의 사람들 끼리 매일 생활속에서 일어나는 갈등적 인터랙션을 모니터링 할 수 있는 모바일 시스템을 조망한다. 이 시스템은 상황에 맞는 실시간 가이드라인 제공 등의 방법을 통해 갈등 상황을 건설적으로 해결하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 모바일 인터랙션 인지 어플리케이션을 가능케 한다. 이 비젼을 향한 첫번째 걸음으로, 우리는 사회심리학 연구들에서 알려진 대화의 affect와 engagement의 이차원 모델에 기반한, 갈등적 인터랙션의 이차원 계산 모델을 제안한다. 이 모델을 통해 우리는 대화의 턴 단위 운율적 특징들과 대화적 특징들을 활용하여 affect와 engagement를 추론하는 것이 가능하다. 이 모델은 한턴의 affect와 engagement를 적당한 정확도로 서술 가능하였다.
