In this thesis work, an RF module, specifically receiving module, for DECT (Digital European cordless Telephone) system working on 1.8GHz is designed and implemented.
For these purpose, a 1.7GHz voltage controled oscillator and phase locked loop system which has 122usec lockup time are designed and implemented. This phase locked loop system is used for 1st local oscillator of DECT receiver.
And 1.8GHz low noise amplifier is designed and implemented. This low noise amplifier has 15dB gain and 1.8dB nosie figure at 1.8GHz.
To make a complete receiver, 1.8GHz to 112.32MHz down converting mixer and IF demodulator are also designed and implemented.
As a result, an complete receiver which meets DECT recommendation is designed and implemented.
For implementation, very small size PCB is made and all the experiments and measurements are made on this PBA.
