In this research, we proposed an artwork metadata relations visualization function in a 3D virtual exhibition authoring system. Our study offers preliminary evidence that artwork relations visualization inside a 3D virtual exhibition authoring system can provide a more practical curatorial workflow and find new curatorial meanings for the exhibition's theme. The proposed function was developed from the formative study of arts professionals and theoretical backgrounds. Our contribution in this relatively less researched field can be summarized in two points: (1) Allowing continuous authoring by visualizing the relations of the artworks’ metadata inside the 3D virtual authoring space. (2) Enhancing creativity in the curatorial process by visualizing relations of the artworks’ multiple metadata. Overall, we conclude that our proposed function has the potential to address some challenges the 3D virtual exhibition authoring tools face: being an assistance apt to the curator's real-life workflow, and to the curatorial capacity.

본 연구에서는 3D 가상 전시 저작 시스템에서 아트워크 메타데이터 관계 시각화 기능을 제안하였다. 우리의 연구는 3D 가상 전시 저작 시스템 내부의 예술적 관계 시각화가 보다 실용적인 큐레이터 워크플로우를 제공하고 전시 주제에 대한 새로운 큐레이터 의미를 찾을 수 있다는 예비 증거를 제공한다. 제안된 기능은 예술 전문가와 이론적 배경에 대한 형성적 연구로부터 개발되었다. 상대적으로 덜 연구된 이 분야에서 우리의 기여는 두 가지 점으로 요약될 수 있다. (1) 3D 가상 저작 공간 내에서 예술작품의 메타데이터 관계를 시각화하여 지속적인 저작을 허용한다. (2) 예술작품의 여러 메타데이터의 관계를 시각화하여 큐레이터 프로세스의 창의성을 향상시킨다. 전반적으로, 제안한 방식이 3D 가상 전시 저작 도구가 직면한 몇 가지 과제를 해결할 수 있는 잠재력이 있다고 결론짓는다. 즉, 큐레이터의 실제 작업 흐름과 큐레이터 능력에 적합한 보조 기능이다.
