The pumpjet is a type of propeller in which a duct and a stator are added to a screw propeller. It produces less noise than a screw propeller used in general ships and is known to output high efficiency at high speed, so it is widely used as a propulsor for submarines and torpedoes. However, submarines and torpedoes are major strategic weapons of each country, and detailed theories on the design of pumpjet propulsion systems are managed as military secrets of each country. Therefore, in this paper, analyze the effect of various shape parameters on propulsive performance of pumpjet.
펌프제트 추진기는 일반적인 스크류 프로펠러에 덕트와 스테이터가 추가되는 프로펠러의 한 종류이다. 일반적인 함정 및 선박에 사용되는 스크류 프로펠러보다 소음이 적고 고속으로 고효율 출력을 내는 것으로 알려져 잠수함과 어뢰용 추진기로 널리 활용되고 있다. 다만 잠수함과 어뢰는 각국의 주요 전략무기로 펌프젯 추진체계 설계에 대한 세부 이론이 각국의 군사기밀로 관리되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다양한 형상변수가 펌프제트의 추진성능에 미치는 영향을 분석한다.
