The properties of concrete in mass concrete are affected by the age and the curing temperature, because of the heat of hydration of cement. For more accurate analysis of thermal stress in mass concrete, it is necessary to obtain the properties of concrete with age and curing temperature.
In this study, the effects of the curing temperature and age (maturity) on the development of the properties of concrete were experimentally investigated by using Type I cement concrete specimens, of which curing temperatures were 23℃, 50℃, and 80℃. Additionally, it was investigated the properties of early age concrete.
New equations based on test results including others' data were developed for the prediction of maturity-strength relation, and the static modulus of early age concrete.
