For odd square-free n ＞ 1, the cyclotomic polynomial $\Phi_n(x)$ satisfies the following identities,
$4 \Phi_n(x) = A_n(x)^2 - (-1)^{\frac{n-1}{2}} nB_n(x)^2$,
$\Phi_n ((-1)^{\frac{n-1}{2}}x) = C_n(x)^2-nxD_n(x)^2$,
where $A_n(x), B_n(x), C_n(x), D_n(x)$ ∈ Z[x].
In this paper, we construct some units in $Z[\zeta_n]^*$ using them. Furthermore, we give a deformation of class number formula through the polynomials that appear in Aurifeullian factorization.
본 논문에서는 Aurifeullian 분해에서 사용된 다항식들의 몇 가지 성질에 대하여 연구하였다. 우선, 특수한 값을 이 다항식들에 대입함으로서 cyclotomic unit를 얻을 수 있음을 보인다. 그리고, 이 다항식이 class 수와 관계 있음을 이용하여, 실 이차체의 class 수를 구하는 공식을 유도한다.
