This thesis exerts that Volume-Synchronized Probability of Informed Trading (VPIN) is a risk indicator for market makers in the Korean stock market, and the Bulk Classification and the Trade Rule is compared and analyzed. This study explains what VPIN is and how each model calculates VPIN and its significance. As a method for calculating VPIN, we utilize the methodology presented by Easley et al. (2012) and Anderson et al. (2014). To evaluate the performance of each model, this thesis demonstrates the relationship between the price-varying antecedence of VPIN and the absolute value of returns as a pivot table.
