Musical sampling is a popular music composition that takes part of an existing recording and uses it to create a new recording. In sample-based music, musical similarity can be claimed for two artists who sampled the same song. To derive a community based on this similarity, we created an artist-song bipartite network consisting of artists who are the subjects of sampling and songs that are the target of sampling and analyzed its community structure. This derived community can be understood as a single musical style, so this paper enhances our understanding of the stylistic aspects of sample-based music.
음악적 샘플링은 기존 녹음물에서 일부를 가져와 새 녹음물을 만드는 데 사용하는 대중음악 작법을 말한다. 샘플 기반 음악에서, 동일한 곡을 샘플링한 두 아티스트에 대하여 음악적 유사성을 주장할 수 있다. 이러한 유사성을 바탕으로 한 커뮤니티의 도출을 위해, 우리는 샘플링의 주체인 아티스트와 샘플링의 대상인 곡으로 이루어진 아티스트-곡 이분 네트워크를 만들고 그 커뮤니티 구조를 분석했다. 이렇게 도출된 커뮤니티는 하나의 음악적 스타일로 이해될 수 있으므로, 본 연구는 샘플 기반 음악의 스타일적 양상에 대한 이해를 높인다.
