The advancement of mobile technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) has provided solutions to social, economic, and environmental problems, but it also generates adverse effects that might hinder business growth and social prosperity. Motivated by the dynamics shaped by the prevalence of technologies this research interest lies in identifying the social, economic, and environmental benefits and challenges derived from the emerging IT revolution in general. The first study delves into the effect of contextual mobile targeting on health behavior change. On the basis of a psychological theory of mood, randomized field experiments were conducted to demonstrate how environment-based mobile targeting enables providers to reach the right user in the right moment and consequently allure mobile users in the healthcare app. The second study examines the effect of E-prescribing use on opioid overdoses, which are becoming pervasive and serious health issues in the U.S. The final explores how individuals perceive and accept new IS in healthcare, and its negative and positive sides.
모바일 기술과 인공 지능 등 정보 시스템의 발전은 오늘날의 사회적, 경제적, 환경적 문제에 대한 해결책을 제공했지만 동시에, 비즈니스의 성장과 사회적 번영을 저해할 수 있는 악영향도 발생시켰다. 정보통신 기술 혁신으로 인한 이러한 역학에 동기를 두고, 본 연구는 정보 시스템의 혁명으로부터 파생된 사회적, 경제적, 환경적 이점 그리고 과제를 밝히는 것을 목표로 한다. 첫 챕터는 상황별 모바일 타겟팅이 건강 행동 변화에 미치는 영향을 조사한다. 기분-자원 이론을 기반으로 무작위 현장 실험을 통해 환경 기반 모바일 타겟팅을 통해 적절하고 효과적으로 사용자에게 도달하고 결과적으로 의료 앱에서 모바일 사용자를 유치하는 방법을 입증했다. 두 번째 챕터는 미국에서 심각한 건강 문제인 오피오이드 과다 복용에 대한 전자 처방 사용의 효과를 조사했다. 마지막 챕터에서는 개인이 건강과 관련해 새로운 정보시스템을 인식과 그 인식의 부정적, 긍정적 측면에 관해 탐구했다.
