This paper conducted an empirical study of a dynamic information disclosure model based on financial data of firms listed in the US market. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the more information specific to the manager of the firm, the earlier the firm made disclosure. On the contrary, it was confirmed through various proxies that the manager of the company delayed the announcement of the company's performance as the more information specific to the company's investors was. These results have given validity to the dynamic information disclosure model and suggest that the corporate disclosure models have helped develop in an appropriate direction.
본 논문은 미국 시장에 상장된 기업들의 재무 데이터를 기반으로 dynamic information disclosure model의 실증 연구를 하였다. 분석한 결과 기업의 관리자 특화 정보가 많을수록 기업이 공시를 조기에 하는 것을 확인했다. 반대로 기업의 투자자 특화 정보가 많을수록 기업의 관리자가 기업의 실적 발표를 지연하는 것을 다양한 proxy를 통해 확인했다. 이러한 결과는 dynamic information disclosure model에 타당성을 부여하였으며, 기업 공개 모형들이 적합한 방향으로 발전하는 데 일조하였음을 시사한다.
