Electric cars have grown steeply over the past decade, as they have become a new growth engine for sustainable development. However, electric vehicles' rapid growth could cause power supply and demand imbalance and additional power installations. As a solution, adjusting the charging speed or time of EV batteries, Smart Charging Program, is emerging. Based on a survey of 996 EV users in Korea on their behavior of charging EVs and discrete choice experiment on the Smart Charge Program, this study investigates willingness to participate in the Smart Charging Program. The mixed logit model was used to analyze how the respondents' behavior and individual characteristics affect the preference of the program. As a result, EV users see high inconvenience cost with Smart Charging program, especially, they are highly sensitive to the State of Charge. Therefore, it is recommended to reduce the level of discomfort to recruit more participants for DR aggregator including EV charging companies. These findings can be used in the design of Smart Charging Program in the future.
전기차는 지속 가능 발전을 위한 새로운 성장 동력으로 자리잡으면서 지난 10년간 빠르게 성장해왔다. 그러나 급속한 성장은 전력 수요를 증가시키며 전력 수급 불일치 및 추가 전원 설치를 야기할 수 있다. 이 문제의 해결책으로 전기차 배터리 충전 속도나 시간을 조절하는 것이 주목받고있다. 동 연구는 한국 전기차 사용자996명에 대한 전기차 충방전 행태 설문 및 전기차 충전 제어 프로그램에 대한 이산 선택 실험을 기반으로, 전기차 충전 제어 프로그램에 대한 참여 의사에 대하여 조사하였다. 혼합로짓모형을 통해 응답자의 충방전 행태 및 개별 특성이 어떠한 영향을 주는지 분석 하였다. 그 결과 전기차 운전자들은 스마트 충전 프로그램에 대해 굉장히 큰 불편함을 느끼며, 특히 충전 상태에 대해서 참여 횟수보다 더 큰 부담을 느꼈다. 또한 평소 충전 횟수가 적을수록 이 프로그램에 참여 의사가 낮았으며, 충전 비용을 적게 내는 사람들에게 인센티브는 참여 의사에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못했다. 동 연구결과는 전기차 충전 제어 프로그램을 포함한 소비자 참여형 전력 조절 프로그램의 효과적 설계를 위해 활용될 수 있다.
