This study aims to develop and generate a series of typical Islamic geometric patterns by using the shape grammar interpreter tool based on the theoretical basis of shape grammar. First, we conducted an analysis of the Islamic geometric patterns and found the basic shapes and classifications that constitute it. Second, we use the shape grammar interpreter tool to complete the generation of a group of four typical Islamic geometric patterns. The main steps include selecting the original shapes, creating rules, and applying and repeating the rules to generate patterns. Third, we designed an experiment on the generation of Islamic geometries with different levels of complexity to compare the differences between our proposed method and the traditional method. The results showed that our method saves the user's working time and improves their efficiency compared to the traditional method. Also, we found that participants with different backgrounds have little difference in the use of this method. The method of this study makes it possible for ordinary users, including experienced designers to generate complex Islamic geometric patterns quickly.
본 연구는 형태 문법의 이론적 기초를 바탕으로 형태 문법 해석기 도구를 이용하여 일련의 전형적인 이슬람 기하학적 패턴을 개발하고 생성하는 것을 목표로한다. 먼저 이슬람 기하학적 패턴을 분석하고이를 구성하는 기본 모양과 분류를 찾았습니다. 둘째, 모양 문법 해석 도구를 사용하여 네 가지 전형적인 이슬람 기하학적 패턴 그룹 생성을 완료합니다. 주요 단계에는 원래 모양 선택, 규칙 생성, 규칙 적용 및 반복을 통해 패턴 생성이 포함됩니다. 셋째, 우리가 제안한 방법과 전통적인 방법의 차이점을 비교하기 위해 복잡성 수준이 다른 이슬람 기하학 생성에 대한 실험을 설계했습니다. 결과는 우리의 방법이 기존 방법에 비해 사용자의 작업 시간을 절약하고 효율성을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났습니다. 또한 배경이 다른 참가자는이 방법을 사용하는 데 차이가 거의 없음을 발견했습니다. 이 연구의 방법은 숙련 된 디자이너를 포함한 일반 사용자가 복잡한 이슬람 기하학적 패턴을 빠르게 생성 할 수 있도록 합니다.
