This study aims to investigate the differences between the press perspective of electric vehicle(EV) and fuel cell electric vehicle(FCEV). 847 articles reported by Chosun Ilbo and the Hankyoreh over the past three years were analyzed by the article type, information source, report attitude, and content frame. Analysis results showed significant differences in terms of the article type, information soruce, report attitude between EV and FCEV. EV articles used companies as the source of information the most, but FCEV articles used government and related organizations more than EV. In terms of frame analysis, the top three frames for EV and FCEV were simple information provision, economic effect, and national interest frame. FCEV focused more on the government policy, environment, and risk/stability frame compared to EV. In case of EV, the proportion of simple information provision is higher than that of FCEV. Based on these results, this study discussed the correlation between the media's reporting characteristics of EV and FCEV and market strategies.
