In recent years, the automotive parts industry has reached a paradigm shift. Major countries around the world are applying various environmental regulations on the internal combustion engine vehicles, and are planning to discontinue sales of the internal combustion engine vehicles in the long term. At the same time, as the support policy for eco-friendly vehicles such as electric vehicles and hydrogen vehicles has been expanded, the transition from the internal combustion engine vehicles to eco-friendly vehicles is rapidly progressing. It is expected that the growth of the automotive parts industry for internal combustion engines will be declined in the future, and this raises concerns about future conflicts among members engaged in the industry.
In this research, the future of automotive parts industry for the internal combustion engine in 2030 is studied, and a future exit strategy for the soft landing of the industry is suggested. Literature research, big data analysis, and STEPPER are conducted for the environmental scanning surrounding the internal combustion engine parts industry, and cross-impact analysis and SWOT analysis are conducted to extract driving forces. Using the three-dimensional methodology of foresight, the possible futures of the technology level of the internal combustion engine parts industry, the production volume and government policy are forecasted. In order to forecast a probable future in a wider range, a scenario planning is implemented. For a stable soft landing of the internal combustion engine automotive parts industry, the exit strategies are established for each future. As a result of researching futures predicted in 10 years and their strategy, the technology level occupy the core of the exit strategy. In the internal combustion engine parts industry, a stable soft landing will be possible if continuous technology development and government policies are supported.
최근 자동차 부품산업은 패러다임의 전환기를 맞이하였다. 세계 주요 국가들은 내연기관 자동차에 대한 각종 환경규제를 적용하고 있으며, 중장기적으로 내연기관 자동차의 판매 중단을 계획하고 있다. 동시에 전기차 및 수소차 등 친환경차에 대한 지원 정책이 확대되면서, 내연기관 자동차에서 친환경차로의 전환이 빠르게 진행되고 있는 상황이다. 향후 내연기관 자동차 부품산업의 사양 산업화가 진행될 것으로 보이며, 이로 인해 해당 산업에 종사하고 있는 구성원들의 미래 갈등이 우려된다.
본 연구에서는 2030년 내연기관 자동차 부품산업의 미래를 연구하고, 산업의 연착륙을 위한 미래 출구 전략을 제시하였다. 내연기관 부품산업을 둘러싼 환경스캐닝을 위해 문헌조사, 빅-데이터분석, STEPPER 등을 실시하고, 변화의 핵심 동인을 추출하고자 교차영향 분석(상호작용 매트릭스)과 SWOT 분석을 진행하였다. 3차원 미래예측법을 활용해 내연기관차의 기술수준, 생산량, 정부정책 분야의 확률적 미래를 예측하였다. 보다 넓은 범위에서 가능한 미래를 예측하기 위하여 시나리오 기법을 시행하였다. 내연기관 자동차 부품산업의 안정적인 연착륙을 위하여 각각의 미래에 대응한 출구 전략을 수립하였다. 10년 뒤 예측되는 미래와 이에 대한 전략을 검토한 결과, 기술 경쟁력이 출구 전략의 핵심을 차지하였다. 내연기관 부품산업에도 지속적인 기술개발과 이에 대한 정부 지원 정책이 뒷받침된다면 안정적인 연착륙이 가능할 것이다.
