The recent museum exhibition is turning into a way of satisfying visitors' demand. In order to provide the visitor-centric exhibit, the artwork needs to be analyzed based on visitor's behavior, not only by the museum professional's point of view. This study aims to analyze the relation between artworks concerning network analysis based on the visitor's behavior using object detection techniques. The cameras installed in a museum recorded visitors, and the object detector and the content-based image retrieval technique tracked visitors from videos. The time spent on the artwork was measured, and the data was converted into a bipartite graph. The relationship between artworks was analyzed with the visitor-centered artwork network. Based on the visitor's behavior, the significant artworks were identified, and the artwork network was compared to the arrangement of a museum. The tendency of edges in artwork network is also examined with visitors' preference for artworks. The method of this study makes it possible to collect quantitative data, and the result could be used as a basis and reference for analyzing the artwork in a visitor-centered approach.
최근 미술관의 전시 방식은 관람객을 만족시키고 그들의 수요를 맞추기 위한 방향으로 변하고 있다. 관람객 중심의 전시를 기획하기 위해서는, 미술관 전문가들의 관점에서뿐만 아니라, 관람객들의 행동을 통해서도 예술작품에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 본 연구는 관람객의 행동을 객체 검출을 활용하여 데이터를 수집하고 네트워크 분석을 통해 예술작품 간의 관계를 분석했다. 미술관에 설치한 카메라로 관람객을 녹화하고, 영상 데이터를 객체 검출 기술과 내용 기반 이미지 검색 기술을 활용해 관람객을 추적했다. 추적한 관람 시간 데이터를 활용해, 예술작품과 관람객으로 구성된 이분 그래프를 그리고, 예술작품으로만 구성된 네트워크를 만들어 예술작품 간의 관계를 분석했다. 관람객의 행동을 바탕으로 영향력이 큰 예술작품들과 미술관 배치와의 관계를 파악하고, 관람객들의 선호도를 통해 예술작품 네트워크의 경향성을 분석할 수 있었다. 본 연구 방법을 활용하면 보다 간편한 데이터 수집이 가능하고, 해당 연구의 결과를 관람객 중심의 예술작품 분석 자료로 사용할 수 있다.
