In these days, there are numerous fire accidents due to high temperature of the outdoor unit of air conditioner. At the same time, the hot air directly hits people as the units are usually installed outside of the building. As the units are exposed to pedestrians, the hot air problem needs to be solved. In addition, the covers of the units have focused only on the functionalities but not on aesthetic perspectives. Thus, this paper proposes an attachable cooling system on the outdoor unit of air conditional with two main goals. The first goal is to decrease the temperature of the air comes out from the outdoor unit to decrease the number of fire accident and to give better experience to the pedestrians. The second goal is to design the outdoor unit in aesthetic perspective to improve the cities’ atmosphere and pedestrians’ experiences. Concrete mixture of cement and plaster is used as the main material of the product. The product is installed in front of outdoor unit and shows 27.5% cooling down effect.
과도한 실외기 사용으로 인해 도시의 평균 기온이 상승하였고, 이는 매년 심각해지고 있는 여름의 무더위와 맞물려 화재 사고가 더욱 빈번해지는 데 일조했다. 또한 대다수의 실외기가 건물 외부에 좁은 간격으로 설치되어 있기 때문에 이로부터 발생하는 높은 열기가 보행자들에게 직접 노출되고 있다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 실외기에 부착하여 사용하는 냉각 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템을 통해 실외기에서 나오는 뜨거운 바람의 온도를 낮추고 방향을 바꿔 도시의 평균 기온을 낮추고 보행자에게 직접적인 열기가 닿지 않게 하려한다. 제품의 주요 재료로 시멘트와 석고를 사용하며, 결과적으로 가동되는 실외기 앞에 설치되었을 때 27.5%의 냉각 효과를 보여준다.
