In e-commerce environment, not only the product but also the product payment procedure is important element for customers' satisfaction and loyalty. Still, there are not enough studies about how UI/UX change affect customers' purchasing behavior. In this study, we used t-commerce setting, IPTV based e-commerce, to conduct empirical study about the impact of simplified payment procedure. According to the results, simplified payment process increases hedonic products purchase compared to utilitarian products. This purchase behavior change can be explained with correlation between dual-system of human behavior and product features. Specifically, as customers perceive simplified payment process as faster process with metaphor concept and goal achievement concept, consumption of hedonic products which cause impulsive purchase increase. Therefore, we suggest specific method for payment process improvement through direct impact analysis of simplified payment process design.
e커머스 환경에서 상품 구매 과정은 상품과 더불어 사용자의 만족도와 충성도에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소다. 하지만 여전히 결제 과정 UI/UX 변경에 따른 소비자들의 구매행동 변화에 관한 연구는 부족한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 IPTV(Internet Protocol Television) 기반 e커머스인 t커머스 세팅을 활용하여 결제 과정 디자인 간소화 효과를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 결과에 따르면 결제 과정 디자인 간소화는 소비자들의 탐닉적 상품(예시: 패션잡화, 여행 등) 주문 증대로 이어진다. 이러한 소비자 행동 변화는 이중 시스템(dual system)과 상품 특징과의 연관성을 통해 설명할 수 있다. 구체적으로, 소비자들은 간소화된 디자인을 은유적인 측면과 결제 완료를 해야 한다는 목표 달성 측면에서 기존 디자인과 비교해 상대적으로 빠른 결제 과정으로 인식하기 때문에 충동 구매를 유발하는 탐닉적인 상품 소비를 늘리게 되는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 결제 과정 디자인 간소화의 직접적인 영향 분석을 통해 구체적인 상품 결제 과정의 개선 함의를 제시한다.
