In most countries of the world, the number of vehicles has increased exponentially over the past decade. At the same time, using vehicles by rent for economic reasons has become widespread. As a result, used car deals have grown exponentially, and sophisticated used car valuation has become more important for determining the value of a car for sale or for pricing leases and long-term rental services. But the reality is that we are doing this with a simple deductive function formula based on simple assumptions. To overcome the inefficiencies of these existing and subjective evaluation mechanisms, a precise forecasting mechanism using machine learning can be utilized in evaluating vehicles.
The purpose of this study is to clarify the relation between the atmosphere of the car related new article and the used car price when developing the price prediction model of the used car by using the machine learning methodology. Also, we want to find out how the reputation in the media can contribute to improving the performance of the used - car pricing model using machine learning.
세계의 대부분의 국가에서 지난 10 년간 차량 수는 기하 급수적으로 증가했다. 동시에 경제성을 이유로 차량을 임대하여 이용하는 방식이 널리 확산되었다. 그 결과 중고차 거래가 기하급수적으로 증가했고, 자동차의 매각 가치를 결정하거나 리스나 장기렌탈 서비스의 서비스 가격 책정을 위해 정교한 중고차 가치평가가 더욱 중요해지게 되었다. 그러나 산업현장에서는 아직도 단순한 가정에 기반한 간단한 연역적 함수식으로 이런 작업을 수행하고 있다. 이런 기존의 주관적인 평가 메커니즘의 비효율을 극복하는 방법으로 머신러닝을 이용한 정밀한 예측 메커니즘이 활용될 수 있다.
본 연구에서는 머신러닝 방법론을 이용해 중고차의 가격 예측모델을 개발함에 있어 미디어에서 차량관련 기사의 분위기(atmosphere)가 중고차 시세와 어떤 관계를 가지고 있는지 밝히고자 한다. 또한 미디어에서의 평판이 머신러닝을 이용한 중고차 가격예측 모델의 성능을 향상시키는데 어떻게 기여할 수 있는지 밝히고자 한다.
