The Korean automobile industry has been on the decline since 2015, creating a sense of crisis. The fourth industrial revolution, represented by Industry 4.0, is recently drawing attention as a way to overcome this crisis. The fourth industrial revolution has been suggested with many strategies by each country, but specific strategies customized for particular industry seem very unclear. In particular, the recent AI craze has made it inevitable to revise the strategy of the fourth industrial revolution. In this dissertation, Hyundai Motors, Korea's flagship automotive brand, will look at its body shops from the perspective of “Industries 4.0”, and study the way to overcome the crisis.
한국 자동차 산업은 2015년 이후로 꾸준히 하락세를 기록하며 관련 산업계에 위기감을 불러 일으키고 있다. 이러한 위기를 타계하기 위한 방안으로 최근 주목 받고 있는 것이 인더스트리 4.0으로 대표되는 4차 산업 혁명이다. 4차 산업 혁명은 각국에서 많은 전략을 제시하고 있으나 구체적인 산업별 추진 전략은 매우 미흡한 편다. 특히 최근의 AI열풍은 4차 산업 혁명의 전략에 수정을 불가피하게 만들었다. 본 학위 논문에서는 한국의 대표 자동차 브랜드인 현대자동차의 차체 공장에 대해 인더스트리 4.0 의 관점에서 살펴보고, 위기 극복 방안에 대해 연구한다.
