One of layered perovskite structures, Ruddlesden-Popper structure, attracts many researchers along with perovskite structure due to its unique layer structure and physical properties. This Ruddlesden-Popper structure can be present in the perovskite structure as a defect, but this phenomenon has not yet been systematically studied. In this study, we selected $SrTiO_3$ as the model system to see how RP faults are formed and increment of A-site solubility limit due to RP faults in perovskite which is line compound through phase analysis and atomicscale in the viewpoint of defect chemistry. microstructure analysis. Furthermore, Ruddlesden-Poppper faults were observed in a variety of perovskite materials to see whether this phenomenon is general phenomenon occurring regardless of presence of RP phase in perovskite. In the process, we confirmed RP faults have structural change depending on the oxidized state of the atoms.
