The publishing market is in an endless recession. The size of the publishing market declines year by year. On the other hand, the number of publishers is increasing. Restructuring is taking place due to the recession, and small publishers are increasing. In this situation, crowdfunding is attracting attention. Crowdfunding is a way to raise funds before publishing books. Previous studies have analyzed the Internet as the cause of the publishing crisis, but this study suggests Internet-based crowdfunding as a solution.
I investigated the relationships between the information in the web sites and its contribution to the success in fundraising. I have sampled projects that were uploaded on Tumblbug and Storyfunding. As a result, I found that crowdfunding is suitable for one creator. In the case of Tumblbug, tangible reward and proposer’s comments have positive impacts on the success of fundraising. In the case of Storyfunding, Past project and proposer’s portfolio have positive impacts on the success of fundraising.
출판 시장은 끝없는 불황에 빠졌다. 매년 출판 시장 규모가 줄고 있다. 반면 출판사 수는 늘고 있다. 불황에 의한 자연스러운 구조조정이 이뤄지며 소규모 출판사가 증가하고 있다. 이런 상황에서 책 출간 전 불특정 다수에게 필요한 자금을 후원 받아 출간하는 크라우드 펀딩 방식이 주목 받고 있다. 기존 연구는 출판 시장 불황의 원인을 인터넷으로 제시하고 있지만, 본 연구는 해결 방안이자 미래 방향성으로 인터넷을 활용한 크라우드 펀딩 방식을 제시한다.
성공한 크라우드 펀딩 출판 콘텐츠는 어떠한 특성을 보이는지 분석했다. 연구 대상으로 크라우드 펀딩 사이트인 텀블벅과 스토리펀딩을 선정했다. 성공한 프로젝트의 게시글 정보 속성과 펀딩 성공과의 관계를 조사했다. 연구 결과, 크라우드 펀딩은 1인 창작자에 적합한 플랫폼이며, 텀블벅은 유형의 보상 제공과 제안자와 후원자의 상호작용, 스토리펀딩은 제안자의 기 진행 프로젝트 수와 포트폴리오 제공이 펀딩 성공에 유의한 영향을 미쳤음을 발견했다.
