This study divided the resistance to the adoption of the biometric boarding procedure into three types: postponement, rejection, and opposition. Four independent variables were used to generate each resistance: perceived risk, perceived benefits, user characteristics and propagation mechanism. The results of the survey showed that the perceived risk variable and the perceived benefit variable mostly affected the three types of resistance, especially physical risk, such as concerns about possible injuries when using biometric check-in procedures, was found to affect all resistance. In addition, consumers' tendency such as newness seeking and independent decision - making affects only the postponement which is the most passive resistance. The information provision through online and offline was analyzed to influence only on the opposition, the most active resistance. Especially, information provision through offline was predicted to increase the degree of the opposition.
이 연구는 생체인식 탑승수속 채택에 대한 저항을 유보, 거부, 만류의 세 종류로 나누어 분석해보았다. 각 저항을 발생시키는 요인들을 인지된 위험, 인지된 혜택, 소비자 속성 및 확산 메커니즘의 네 가지 독립변인군을 사용하였으며, 설문조사를 통한 연구 결과 인지된 위험 변인군과 인지된 혜택 변인군이 각 유형의 저항에 고루 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 생체인식 탑승수속 이용 시 발생할 수 있는 부상에 대한 우려 등 신체적 위험은 모든 저항에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 새로움 추구와 독립적 의사결정 등 소비자의 성향은 가장 소극적 저항인 유보에만 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 온라인 및 오프라인을 통한 정보제공은 가장 적극적 저항인 만류에만 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었는데, 특히 오프라인을 통한 정보제공은 만류의 정도를 오히려 높이는 것으로 예측되었다.
