The visitor tracking service, such as Google Analytics, which was mainly used online, was also introduced in the bricks and mortar stores as the improvements in the sensor technology. Therefore, the visitor tracking data is able to be obtained in indoor environments. Indoor visitor tracking data is recorded with the encrypted visitor's smartphone MAC address as well as when the shopper visited, which area of the store visited, and how long they stayed. As visitor identification information is stored and data is continuously collected, it enables re-visitor analysis. In this paper, we investigated shoppers' revisitation patterns using data gathered about a year in two clothing stores located in different areas of Seoul. The results of this study are as follows. First, it is shown that the visit intervals of revisitors are influenced by factors such as the day of the week, discount period, etc. In addition, we defined the revisit pattern as the behavior of consecutive visits with visit intervals and suggested the method to mining the revisit patterns that including the mainly visited area.
온라인에서 주로 사용되던 구글 애널리틱스와 같은 방문객 추적 서비스가 센서의 발달로 오프라인 매장에도 도입되어 실내 방문객 추적 데이터를 얻을 수 있게 되었다. 실내 방문객 추적 데이터는 쇼핑객이 언제, 매장의 어떤 구역을, 얼마나 체류했는지 기록한 데이터로 방문객의 와이파이나 블루투스의 MAC 주소가 암호화되어 식별 정보와 함께 저장된다. 이렇게 방문객 식별 정보가 함께 저장되고 데이터가 지속해서 수집됨에 따라 방문객 추적 데이터를 통해 재방문객 분석이 가능하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 서울의 한 의류 브랜드의 다른 지역에 위치한 두 개 매장에서 방문객 추적 시스템 도입 후 약 1년간 수집된 데이터를 이용하여 쇼핑객 재방문에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 재방문객의 방문 간격이 주기, 평일 여부, 할인 기간 등과 같은 요소에 영향을 받아 달라짐을 보였고 재방문객의 행동이 이전 방문과 어느 정도로 일관되는지 연속 방문의 일관성 분석을 통해 확인하였다. 또한, 연속 방문에서 방문 간격에 따라 이전 방문과 재방문에서 함께 나오는 행동을 재방문 패턴이라 정의하여 재방문 패턴 분석 방법을 제시하고 주요 방문 구역을 패턴에 포함 시켜 찾을 수 있게 하였다.
