Recent researches on humanoid robot actuators have concluded that the use of series elastic actuators is inevitable for accurate and robust torque control. Among them, a method using a series elastic actuator using a spring as an elastomer was considered to be most suitable, but the hysteresis problem of an elastomer is the biggest disadvantage in terms of torque control. Therefore, this study suggests a method to compensate for the hysteresis that compensates for the disadvantages of the existing method that modeled the hysteresis of the elastomer for the torque control of the humanoid robot arm using the elastomer series elastic actuator [do]. The validity of the method is verified through the verification of the torque control performance through the proposed hysteresis model.
