Because of the uncertainty in business environment, one of the issues that most of companies faces, is going concern of business. To reduce the risks of these matters, companies are consistently seeking to find a new growth engines for their futures. Christensen(1997) explained ‘Innovator''s Dilemma’ that is an analysis of the phenomenon in which successful companies fail to grow steadily. Moreover, O''Reilly(2007) emphasized ‘Ambidextrous Organizations’ to solve these problems at the same time as maintaining existing business and testing future business. As a result, the need of a dedicated innovation hub organization, is getting more important in order to develop its future new business, while maintaining its current existing business. Therefore, it is important to analyze the previous successful cases of the internal innovation team that leaded to develop sustainable growth engines. The study is mainly focusing on the finding of key factors to be the effective internal innovation team, and presenting its strategy to implement in the organization more efficiently by case analysis that previously mentioned.
기업의 경영환경의 불확실성이 커짐에 따라 미래 신성장 동력을 발굴에 대한 고민이 커지고 있다. Christensen(1997)은 기존에 성공한 기업들이 지속적인 성장을 못하는 현상을 분석하여‘혁신 기업의 딜레마(Innovator’s Dilemma)라고 칭했다. O’Reilly(2007)는 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해 기존 사업 유지’와‘미래 사업의 실험’이라는 두 가지를 동시에 잘하는 ‘양손잡이 조직’을 강조했다. 이렇듯 기존 사업을 유지하면서 미래 신사업을 개발하기 위해 혁신 허브 조직의 필요성이 더욱 커지고 있다. 국내 대기업들도 지속적인 혁신과 신성장 동력을 발굴하기 위해 혁신 허브 조직에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 제조업, 유통업, 통신업 등 대기업에서 지속적 성장 동력을 발굴하기 위해 운영하는 혁신 허브 조직의 사례를 분석, 성공 요인을 도출하고 이를 효과적으로 도입할 전략을 제시한다.
