Due to the widespread impact of Java on our reality, the developer community seems to be concerned about the wave of copyright consequences between Oracle and Google. In particular, there is a high concern that the risk of copyright infringement will ruin the characteristics of the development environment, which Java is capable of "bringing the old, anytime, anywhere". In conclusion, it is regrettable that the CAFC adhered to the rigid theories of copyrightability and accepted the copyrightability of the API without fully considering the reality of the program development environment. If Google has given up on Android development since the breakdown with Sun, many of the mobile innovations we are seeing may have been slow. In our interpretation of the copyright law, the API is not protected by the copyright law because it is not 'creativity' or is excluded from the scope of copyright protection pursuant to Article 101-2. In this case, APIs that need protection should seek protection under the Patent Act or the Unfair Competition Prevention Act.
