In recent years, global companies have changed their organizational structure on a large scale as withdrawing or merging branch offices. These phenomena show the opposed flow of original globalization with is pushing into world market for profit-making and continuous growth. Accordingly, this study is about the new changes in organizational structure of global companies, focusing managing branch offices. The question "Are global companies renouncing globalization?" makes the study get started. The study includes qualitative data as case study analysis, expert interview, and literature review, so that this study investigates specific causes and phenomena about new changes in organizational structure of global companies. Furthermore, this study can provide the new implications and strategies about managing branch offices and organizational structure for global companies.
최근, 전 세계에 퍼져 있던 지사를 철수하거나 통폐합하며, 대대적인 조직 구조를 변화하는 글로벌 기업의 사례가 생기고 있다. 그 동안의 글로벌 기업이 이윤 창출과 지속적인 성장을 위해서 글로벌화를 추진해 온 것과 반대되는 흐름이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 글로벌 기업의 조직 구조의 변화를 지사 운영에 초점을 맞추어 분석하고자 한다. 글로벌 기업은 글로벌화를 포기하고 있는 것인가에 대한 의문점을 가지고 시작된 본 연구는, 사례 연구 분석과 전문가 인터뷰를 활용하여, 새로운 조직 구조의 변화에 대한 구체적인 원인과 모습을 분석한다. 나아가 글로벌 기업에게 지사 운영 및 조직 구조에 대한 현재의 흐름과 시사점을 제공할 수 있으며, 조직 구조를 담당하는 경영자에게 하나의 전략으로서 제시하고자 한다.
