This study addresses the issue of how an abstract claim influences consumers' brand evaluation. Specifically, hypotheses are developed showing how the claim credibility and the specific attribute informations interactively affect the brand evaluation. Empirical evidences in support of these hypotheses are presented and suggestions for future research are offered.
