The main purpose of this study is to develop a crash attenuating facility which can effectively reduce the critical injuries of passengers as well as damages when collision between the vehicles and highway facilities occurred.
Structural analysis was performed for various design parameters which influence the capacity to decrease the damage of vehicles and passengers. The values of design parameters were selected by nonlinear dynamic analysis using ADINA program. In the dissertation, the evaluation of suggested crash attenuating facility design are also included.
