Cermet electrodes were prepared with the mixed slurry composed of Ag and $3Bi_2O_3$ㆍ$WO_3$ by the screen printing. The variables for the electrode fabrication were the amounts of the oxide in the electrode, the firing temperature and the thickness of the electrode. The interface resistances of the cermet electrodes were measured by AC technique in air.
The interface resistances of the cermet electrodes were about a factor of 3 lower than those of the Ag electrodes when the oxide weight fraction was 50%, the firing temperature 650℃ and the thickness of the electrode above 35㎛. The activation energy of the cermet electrode was 1.2 eV which was same as that of the Ag electrode. The cermet electrodes were more porous than the Ag electrode fabricated at the same firing temperature. This fact indicates that the oxide particles prevented the Ag particles from agglomerating during the firing.
