LOS(Line of Sight) radio links take use of the atmospheric free space as their propagation medium. Under normal propagation conditions, digital radios will operate essentially error free, but sometimes when the channel goes dispersive, the problem of multipath fading effect will occur. One of techniques to cope with this problem is adaptive equalization.
In this thesis, the design problems of adaptive equalization algorithm for 27Mbaud, 64- or 256-QAM signals are described and then the designed algorithm is simulated and verified functionally using CAD tool. We used silicon compilation techniques adopting VTI libraries such as datapath compiler and standard cell library.
