This paper is concerned with the level control of large launcher. Because the driving mechanism of the launcher is affected on the launching site conditions such as tilting and so on, the large launcher, which supports a missile, must be leveled. And after a missile being moved into desired position, the large launcher must be made level to prevent the error of missile position due to disturbances such as strong winds.
This paper proposes the design of the level controller of large launcher with PID and LSTDC(Loop Shaping Time Delay Conntrol) algorithm. The experimental equipments which imitated a large launcher were made. And experments were carried out with various kinds of disturbance.
As a result, the designed controllers showed a reasonable performance, and LSTDC controller was better than PID controller with disturbances.
