In this thesis, the frequency characteristics of noise and vibration of electric motor is analyzed and the motor has three-phase, two poles and the current of motor is fed by the inverter.
The major noise sources are identified by experiments. It is introduced the new approach that give the benefits of the sources identification of magnetic flux components, of the smaller number of components to be considered, of applicability to other field, and of measurability. The approach is not the electomagnetic force method but the magnetic flux density method.
The magnetic flux density method consists of the following steps. Firstly, the magnetic flux density is measured, its components are predicted, and two results are compared. Secondly, we obtain the major noise and vibration components due to electromagnetic forces from experiments, the components of electromagnetic forces is calculated from old formulas and from the magnetic flux measurement, and two results are compared. Thirdly, it is identified that the sources of noise and vibration.
It is made an attempt to apply to the motor for the reduction of noise and vibration.
