The future Personal Communication Networks can accomodate much more subscribers than those of Cellular Mobile Communication Networks by reducing the cell radius. Even though the overall capacity of radio channels can increase, as the cell radius reduces, the reduction of cell radius can cause more handoffs which may degrade the grade of service. In this thesis, radio channels of micro or pico cells in PCN environments are modeled and their performances are evaluated according to varying the number of radio channels and cell radius in terms of blocking probability, handoff failure probability, noncompleted call ratio and forced termination probability. Finally, the future PCN traffic capacity in Seoul area is also evaluated in case of the two different cell radius, i.e. 300 meters and 100 meters.
