In order to support Hangeul text editor design for improvement of user productivity and convenience, it is necessary to understand and accommodate individual differences in Hangeul text editing.
In this study, the magnitude of individual differences on familiar users in Hangeul text editing, the task that showed the largest differences in four benchmark tasks, and the pattern of distribution of completion times are investigated. Also, the speed-accuracy tradeoff and the frequent errors in Hangeul text editing are discussed.
To accommodate individual differences in Hangeul text editing, several approaches to reduce the frequent errors are presented. In addition the effect on color change of Hangeul marking in keyboard is discussed.
