Korean government plans to expand R＆D expenditures to 39.8 billion dollars(5 percent of GNP) and to secure 150,000 R＆D manpower(30 per 10,000 populations) until 2001. This thesis deals with research and development manpower. This research is to forecast the demand of science and technology manpower to keep pace with the economic development goals which includes advancement of science and technology.
This research is composed of two parts. The first is the review of the basic concepts in this study. The second part projects an overall future demand of science and technology manpower.
Further research with the qualitative aspects of future science and technology manpower shall be followed.
