When distance between two objects is less than sub-wavelength not only propagating mode, but also evanescent mode contribute to radiative heat transfer. By using hyperbolic metamaterial, we can get the artificial properties, and to be able to enhance heat transfer. In this research, we proposed understanding near-field radiation phenomenon, by controlling evanescent mode, show the increment of thermophotovoltaic efficiency. The hyperbolic metamaterial source composed with p-type doped Si and $SiO_2$ works at 500 K, the thermophotovoltaic is InSb and it works at 300 K. From the point of view of power, we got 2.5 times increased result compared bulk source with no graphene at 200 nm vacuum gap and 1.2 times increased at 300 nm vacuum gap. This result due to coupled surface plasmon between hyperbolic metamaterial and multi-layered graphene.
