The two-dimensional problem of an are shaped crack lying along the interface of a circular elastic inclusion embedded in an infinite matrix with different elastic constants is numerically analyzed using the ABAQUS program. Contact occurs between the crack surfaces of an are crack by the uniaxial tension loading, which is quite different from the case of the straight crack. Under various loading directions and material combinations the L-integral, contact pressure and crack opening displacement are calculated and compared with the analytical solution. The stress intensity factors $K_1$ and $K_2$ for the case of the inclusion having the same elastic constants as in matrix are evaluated using the filter technique.
