The effect of the radiation on thermophoresis phenomenon due to the presence of highly absorbing, emitting particles such as soot, fly ash and pulverized coal suspended in a two phase flow system was investigated experimentally for a laminar tube flow. In this experiments, $Fe_2O_3$ particles with high emissivity and $Al_2O_3$ particles with low emissivity were used. The cumulative collection efficiency was estimated by subtracting the weight of particles deposited on HEPA filter from the generated particles. When highly radiating particles were suspended in a non-isothermal mixture system, the cumulative collection efficiency became lower compared with that in the case of low radiating particles. The cumulative collection efficiency has decreased as the Reynolds number increased.
