Proposed in this thesis is a heuristic layout method of irregular patterns. The objective of this study is to layout irregular patterns in such a way that minimize the length of cloths on which pattern is nested. Quadtree is used to represent and operate the pattern and cloths because of its simplicity and ease of operation. The polar moment of inertia is used to obtain better layout that have smaller length of cloths on which pattern is nested.
