In this thesis, database computer for processing database operation as server on the network is implemented. Three jobs are required for this. First, it is necessary user interface for receiving query and sending it to backend computer. Second, it is necessary DBMS in the backend computer for DBMS opration. Third, it is necessary network interface for inter-networking between host computer and backend computer. In this thesis, implementations of DBMS and network interface are main objectives. Kernel, file system, and DBMS are implemented for database operation in the backend computer, and network is implemented by using UDP/IP protocol. Simple usr interface is implemented experimenting this system. Query is decomposited into transaction(s) and backend computer processes transaction order which is come from each user of several hosts. Processing time for several number of users is measured and analyzed and remaining jobs are presented.
