A new control method for robust position control of brushless dc(BLDC) motor is presented. The system of BLDC motor is approximately linearized by field-orientation method, and it is shown that augmented state variable feedback can be applicable to this system.
In addition, robustness is obtained without change of overall system response. Load disturbance is detected by 0-observer of unknown and inaccessible input, and is compensated by feedforward which have fast response.
Overall system is controlled using the MC68000 microprocessor, and the performance of each control algorithm is compared by results of simulation and experiment.
