Traditional Business Intelligence environment cannot support the current pace and dynamic nature of business change or the exponential growth in terms of the sources, volume and complexity of data.Therefore,companies should change their business intelligence environment into Self-Service Business Intelligence (SSBI) environment to make smarter, faster decisions. However, SSBI is a new term and there are few studies on SSBI or SSBI success factors in Korea.So to find success factors of SSBI and relationship with them, this study analyzes the best practice of Business Intelligence project to find success factors of SSBI through the case study on Korean companies. Then we suggest the adoption strategy for SSBI.From this thesis, Chief information officer will have consideration point about how to development SSBI environment and improve their traditional business intelligence environment.
전통적인 비즈니스 인텔리전스 환경은 빠르게 변화하는 시장과 기하급수적으로 증가하는 데이터의 크기와 복잡성에 대처하지 못해왔다. 이러한 상황에서 기업들이 경쟁사 대비 더 빠르고 더 정확한 의사결정을 위해서는 전통적인 비즈니스 인텔리전스 환경에서 보다 적극적인 사용자 주도 비즈니스 인텔리전스 환경으로 변모해야 한다. 하지만 국내 기업 사용자 주도 비즈니스 인텔리전스에 대한 선행 연구가 미미하며 실제 기업에서도 이를 비즈니스에 활용하여 가치를 창출하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 문헌연구 및 국내 기업의 비즈니스 인텔리전스 성공 및 실패 사례연구를 통해 사용자 주도 비즈니스 인텔리전스 성공요인 및 성공요인 작용관계를 밝히고 실무적으로 활용할 수 있는 기업 사용자 주도 비즈니스 인텔리전스 도입 전략을 제시하였다.
