R&D cost of the pharmaceutical industry is rapid growing in worldwide at 2000’s . On the other hand, IRR is decreasing. Therefore, global companies develop a Open Innovation Platform to reduce the cost and duration of R&D. The Pharmaceutical industry in Korea should develop new medicines from generic production due to changes in global market, and FTA. It's a very rapid change. Korean pharmaceutical industry is equal to the global pharmaceutical company for developing new medicines, the open innovation must be adopted. We understand the reality of Korean pharmaceutical industry to follow the reality of how R&D of global pharmaceutical companies. We Suggest a Korea Open Innovation Platform through analyzing open innovation model that has already been studied. Korean Open Innovation Platform is based on a strong intellectual property rights protection that build the middle market and develop the TTO(Technology Transfer Officer)s for technology market activation.
