In this thesis, automatic planner and scheduler for assembly cell is developed. This paper uses a knowledge-based approach for automatic planning system, consisting of world model, action model, inference engine. In database, action model is modified for new scheduling method. A task is given by the way of task-level programming in the automatic planner and concurrent task execution algorithm is considered in the scheduler.
The developed algorithm has been applied to a die attach machine and proved to work well, and the given task can be executed concurrently in real-time.
