Platform models have been widely used in an array of fields and gradually stood at a large proportion of the world economy. The platforms connect providers and customers, minimize transaction costs, and create new value through network effect. In this regards, companies are adopting platform strategies to enhance their competitiveness. This study aims to develop “Rail-ro Ticket”, which has already become a train free travel trend for the youth into a travel platform model for the creating value, identify the potential and competitiveness of the Ticket as the platform, and finally design factors and rules fit to the platform. More specifically, this study proposes not only a virtuous cycle of the platform for sustainability and fair distribution but also the future direction of the Rail-ro travel platform model.
플랫폼은 오늘날 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있으며, 세계 경제에서도 차지하는 비중은 점점 커지고 있다. 플랫폼은 공급자와 소비자를 연결해주고 거래비용을 최소화하며, 네트워크효과를 통해 새로운 가치를 창출한다. 이에 따라 많은 기업이 기업의 경쟁력 강화를 위해 플랫폼 전략을 활용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이미 청소년 기차자유여행 트렌드로 자리 잡은 ‘내일로 티켓’을 여행 플랫폼으로 발굴하여 가치를 창출할 수 있는 모델로 개발하고자 한다. 내일로 티켓이 플랫폼으로서 잠재력과 경쟁력이 있는지 살펴보고, 플랫폼의 구성요소와 규칙을 설계한다. 특히 플랫폼에 참여하는 이해관계자에게 지속적인 가치가 창출되고 배분될 수 있도록 선순환 구조의 플랫폼 모델을 제시한다. 또한, 내일로 여행 플랫폼이 앞으로 나아가야 할 발전방향에 대해서도 모색해 본다.
