The best spatial design condition to satisfy the occupancy needs of amenity and efficiency is determined through analyzing the spatial design adequacy (SDA). In this study, the relationship between the space design elements and space on future occupants’ perception are analyzed. A series of two experiments were conducted in order to verify the six hypotheses. The findings successfully support the all hypotheses of this study. The findingsof experimensts demonstrate that the causal relationship between the spatial factors and space is clearly present in the occupants’ perception, reflecting the time-sequential characteristics of the actual experience divided into amenity and efficiency. This result indicates that the correlation between the spatial factors and space of SDA under the occupants’ perception processing elaboration can be a useful guide to predict the occupancy satisfaction of amenity and efficiency in real spaces.
본 연구는 잠재적 거주자의 쾌적성 및 편리성 니즈 충족을 위한 공간디자인적합성(SDA) 검증을 통해서 최적의 공간디자인대안 결정을 시도한다. 특히, 공간디자인 요소와 공간의 관계가 잠재적 거주자의 지각 분석에 의해서 해석됐다. 공간디자인적합성에 관련된6개의 가설 검증을 위해 상호 독립적인 2종류의 지각평가실험이 실시 되었다. 실험결과는 본 연구의 6가지 가설을 모두 지지하며, 공간요소와 공간간에 인과적 관계가 형성됨을 의미한다. 즉, 잠재적 거주자의 지각은 실제공간에서의 경험을 반영하며 시계열적 인과성을 쾌적성과 편리성으로 구분되었다. 이 같은 본 연구의 결과를 통해서 볼 때, 잠재적 거주자의 지각정교화 과정을 통한 공간디자인적합성검증 (공간요소와 공간구성간의 관계성 해석)결과는 실제공간에서의 쾌적성과 편리성 예측에 유용한 지침으로써 활용될 수 있음을 의미한다.
