MOS analog multiplier use the voltage-current characteristic of MOSFET in triode region. This multiplier use the voltage-current characteristics of MOSFET in triode region. This multiplier is simple in structure and 4-quadrant operation is obtained simplely without complex subcircuit. The operation of multiplier is demonstrated by experiment and SPICE simulation. And the performance is measured with IC that is made by metal gate CMOS process.
The advantage of this multiplier is that dynamic range is wide in comparison to other BJT multiplier and this multiplier is stable for bias. For improved performance, the study on body effect must be accomplished in the future.
